Featherless. Fearless.

3M™ Thinsulate™ Featherless Insulation – 700 fill power - gives you the ability to stay out in cold weather no matter where you’re hunting. Lightweight, highly breathable, and extremely warm, featherless insulation is a synthetic, durable, and superior alternative to natural down. Unlike down, The Insulator Jacket will retain its loft and keep you warm even when wet.

3M™ Scotchgard™ DWR. The proof is in how dry you’ll stay.

3M™ Scotchgard™ DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a finish added to shell fabric to make it water-repellent (hydrophobic), preventing the outer layer of fabric from “wetting out” or becoming saturated with water, which will keep you drier and more comfortable, longer.

True sizing means true fit.

Whether you’re looking at hunting base layers that will keep you warm, dry and comfortable all day, outer layers that protect you from wild swings in conditions while you’re in the backcountry, or anything in between, the right fit is imperative for optimal gear performance. That’s why we offer True Fit on all Pnuma hunting clothing.

In order to ensure you get the right gear sized to your needs, we give you a 30-day True Fit period. Purchase any Pnuma hunting apparel products and if they don’t fit correctly or you’re dissatisfied in any way simply send them back within 30 days. All returned items must be in new, re-sellable condition. You’ll receive a full refund.

In addition to traditional medium through XXXL, all Pnuma hunting jackets are available in Tall sizes. We’ve designed them with an additional 2” in torso length and 1.5” in the sleeves. The inseam on The Insulator pant has an additional 2” in length. No more swimming in a larger size to get the length you need.

All of our pants, with the exception of The Insulator pant and base layers, are available by waist and inseam. So, whether you’re a 32”/34”, a 40”/36”, or any other combination, you can order the size that fits you, not just the size that fits most.

And since we know that the human body, at rest or in motion, has natural bends and curves in the arms and legs, every top and bottom in every layer we offer has active-contoured elbows and knees to help improve fit and function even further. Even our gloves are designed with curved fingers to replicate the natural shape of our hands.

That means you can order your size and head to the field with confidence knowing you have exactly the right gear - in the right size - for you.

SilverStrike™ Antimicrobial Technology. Nature’s scent control.

Microbes are living cells like bacteria, fungi and algae that can grow on many materials creating foul odors, discoloration, and formation of mildew and biofilm. Put your gear away wet and you know exactly what we’re talking about. The antimicrobial properties of silver, unlike harsh chemical treatments, have been known for centuries. Applying it to outdoor gear is still a great way to combat odor. SilverStrike advanced antimicrobial fabric technology prevents the formation and growth of bacteria and other odor-causing microbes, keeping garments smelling fresher—and you staying undetected—longer.

Collar is terrible
My wife recently purchased the Insulator Outdoor Jacket for my birthday. I own the Insulator Vest and have enjoyed that for hunting, and wanted the jacket in a solid for every day use. One thing I continue to be frustrated over is the lack of inventory. Multiple times I've tried to order various items from PNUMA only to find out they are out of stock. One item has been out of stock for almost a full year now. That's frustrating. The black solid was out of stock, so my wife bought the green solid. It's a very nice color, but I would have preferred black. The jacket itself fits nice. I'm normally a large, but she ordered an XL and it has enough room to be comfortable, but not too much to be baggy and look sloppy. It's very light weight and comfortable. I like the thumb-hole sleeve and hand warmer pockets are very soft. The jacket slips on and off very easily. It's not as warm as I would have hoped, but it will due for 80% of my winter use in Wisconsin. The one thing I hate about this jacket is the same thing I hate about the vest. There is a piece of very rough fabric with the PNUMA logo that is used as a sewing strip at the base of the collar. It scratches the back of your neck to the point of almost being raw. In my mind, there's no need for that. Use a piece of material that is comfortable. The only way I will wear this jacket or vest is if I have a high collar shirt underneath. This is a complaint that I've seen multiple times, but PNUMA doesn't seem to want to fix this. It's troubling to me when a company brags about their product quality and customer service, but then doesn't take the repeated suggestions from their customers to make the product better. I'm not sure if I'll keep this or not b/c of that one issue. Which is a shame b/c the rest of the jacket is great.

Great jacket and glad I bought it, but...
This is my first piece of Pnuma gear. I thought it'd a good item to test the waters with. The jacket arrived sooner than expected with no problems. That was nice. The fit was really good and there isn't any tight points when I draw my bow back or stretch my arms out. The quality is great and I really like that it's a bit tougher than I was expecting it to be.

That's where the "but" comes in. I was hoping that this jacket would be more compressible. It's not advertised as a compressible jacket and that's why I still gave it five stars, but the tougher exterior and fill do not make it easy to stow away if you need to shed layers throughout the day. I'm okay with this trade off, but was hoping for it to get a bit smaller.

This jacket is definitely rugged enough to be an outer layer in most cases. It's also crazy warm. I really doubt I'm going to have to layer much with this on. It's so warm that I probably won't need it past mid morning, most days.

All said and done, I am glad I bought it and have already recommended it to friends. I'll be buying from Pnuma again.

The little things
Pnuma has definitely kept the small details in mind. Fleece cuffs with thumb holes, plenty of pockets for storage and draw cords around the waist. Many uses for this jacket; insulator as its name states but could very easily be an outer layer as you sit and glass high up on a ridge.

Great outer layer too!
Bought both insulator tops initially as every day wear but they immediately earned their spot my hunting arsenal. These things beat back cold temps and wind...and I cant imagine what conditions would ever require these as an "insulator" layer unless under light raingear. The insulator tops are warm, comfortable, well-designed and rugged.

Wife pleaser
I bought this jacket for my wife. She's worn it a lot this past winter & loves the light weignt & warmth. Also the wind resistance is awesome! We've tried other brands and they don't compare. If you aren't certain which to buy, this is absolutely the best.

Very comfortable soft material, and fits like a custom jacket. Love the thumb holes in the cuffs. Nice zippers and the little fold on the top of the zipper to protect your neck is a nice touch.
