Overview
We didn’t simply improve extreme-weather performance. We ran up the score.

Selkirk Jacket and Pant

You measure comfort in extreme conditions by how dry and warm you stay. The hunting apparel industry measures it by Moisture Vapor Transfer (MVT) ratings for waterproofness and breathability. The higher the MVT rating the drier and warmer you will be. Until now, the highest breathability ratings on the market were between 20,000 and 50,000. Check some sites. You know the ones. The ultra-thin Porelle Extreme membrane in the Pnuma Selkirk All-Weather Hunting Jacket and Pant comes in at an unstoppable 120,000. Plus, it’s soft, flexible, and noiseless even when cold. That means you stay warmer, dryer, and quieter in the toughest conditions and at full draw. 120,000 compared anything less? Game over. Add in a fleece lining for warmth, WearGuard™ non-slip, wear-resistant overlays on pant knees and boot cuffs and jacket shoulders and elbows, world-class YKK waterproof zippers, quiet, rubberized snaps, a dozen strategically and common-sense placed pockets and the Pnuma Selkirk All-Weather Hunting Jacket and Pants win by the Slaughter Rule.

  • Porelle® Extreme Membrane VT breathability rating: 120,000
  • Waterproof rating: 20,000
  • QuietShell fabric with fleece lining for warmth and stealth
  • 4-way adjustable hood that moves as your head does
  • 2-way leg zippers for easy on and off over boots

Selkirk Bib

There were many requests for new products for 2017. One of the most requested was a Selkirk Bib hunting pant. And we understand why. Being out in cool to cold temperatures of late season isn’t much fun when the wind is whipping cold air between the bottom of your jacket and top of your pant. It’s times like these when you need all your attention focused on your hunt – not on how to stay warm. So, how did we respond to your requests? We made it. The new Selkirk Bib hunting pant is the culmination of years of extreme cold weather whitetail hunting and the addition of the latest technology and design to keep your quiet, warm, dry, and comfortable. The Selkirk Bib features the waterproof Porelle Extreme membrane with an MVT (moisture vapor transfer) rating of 120,000 – the highest in the industry. The top of the pant comes to mid-torso, has six pockets, DuraGuard™ abrasion resistant overlays on knees and boot cuffs, a rise and crotch designed for easy hiking and climbing, and waterproof thigh to ankle zippers for venting and easy on/off. The Selkirk Bib adds a whole new dimension to your late season apparel whether you hunt in a Selkirk or Waypoint hunting suit.

  • Comfortable fit to accommodate base and mid-weight layers
  • Sport bib design - 6 1/2" above waist at center front and 7 1/2" above waist on center back
  • Porelle® Extreme waterproof, breathable membrane
  • Moisture Vapor Transfer (MVT) rating: 120,000g
  • Waterproof rating: >20,000mm
  • Ultra-quiet, soft, super Micro Brushed Tricot
  • Mid-torso design to keep cold out and warmth in
  • Two-way thigh to ankle zippers for venting and easy on/off

Selkirk Cap

When most apparel companies describe their caps there isn’t much to say. A cap is a cap, right? Wrong. There’s no hunting cap that matches the concealment, comfort, and dry, quiet performance of the Selkirk Waterproof Hunting cap. When it’s part of the Selkirk lineup you know it’s made with the best waterproof, breathable membrane there is: the Porelle Extreme membrane. The only membrane in the hunting industry with an MVT rating of 120,000 – more than twice the breathability of any other membrane. With the Selkirk Waterproof Hunting Cap you’ll get unparalleled protection from rain and comfort and concealment that has no equal.

  • Same outer fabric as Selkirk hunting jackets and pants – quiet, soft, super micro brushed tricot
  • Porelle® Extreme waterproof, breathable membrane
  • Moisture Vapor Transfer (MVT) rating: 120,000
  • Coolcore™ liner for high-performance wicking and comfort
  • Embossed closure for perfect fit adjustment
  • Low profile with semi-soft structure
  • Taped seams for highest level of performance
  • 3M DWR treatment for additional water repellency
  • SilverStrike™ anti-microbial odor control

Technology
At our best, when conditions are at their worst.

Porelle® Extreme has set the bar for the finest waterproof, breathable membrane in the industry. Lightweight, windproof, comfortable, and durable, Porelle® high-performance technology has earned its place in the Pnuma Selkirk All-Weather Jacket and Pant for breathability with a Moisture Vapor Transfer (MVT) rating of 120,000—a rating that’s more than twice the MVT breathability rating of other hunting apparel on the market, at any price, for any conditions. Which means you stay warmer, drier, and more comfortable no matter how extreme conditions get.

3M™ Scotchgard™ DWR. The proof is in how dry you’ll stay.

3M™ Scotchgard™ DWR (Durable Water Repellent) is a finish added to shell fabric to make it water-repellent (hydrophobic), preventing the outer layer of fabric from “wetting out” or becoming saturated with water, which will keep you drier and more comfortable, longer.

True sizing means true fit.

Whether you’re looking at hunting base layers that will keep you warm, dry and comfortable all day, outer layers that protect you from wild swings in conditions while you’re in the backcountry, or anything in between, the right fit is imperative for optimal gear performance. That’s why we offer True Fit on all Pnuma hunting clothing.

In order to ensure you get the right gear sized to your needs, we give you a 30-day True Fit period. Purchase any Pnuma hunting apparel products and if they don’t fit correctly or you’re dissatisfied in any way simply send them back within 30 days. All returned items must be in new, re-sellable condition. You’ll receive a full refund.

In addition to traditional medium through XXXL, all Pnuma hunting jackets are available in Tall sizes. We’ve designed them with an additional 2” in torso length and 1.5” in the sleeves. The inseam on The Insulator pant has an additional 2” in length. No more swimming in a larger size to get the length you need.

All of our pants, with the exception of The Insulator pant and base layers, are available by waist and inseam. So, whether you’re a 32”/34”, a 40”/36”, or any other combination, you can order the size that fits you, not just the size that fits most.

And since we know that the human body, at rest or in motion, has natural bends and curves in the arms and legs, every top and bottom in every layer we offer has active-contoured elbows and knees to help improve fit and function even further. Even our gloves are designed with curved fingers to replicate the natural shape of our hands.

That means you can order your size and head to the field with confidence knowing you have exactly the right gear - in the right size - for you.

SilverStrike™ Antimicrobial. Nature’s scent control.

Microbes are living cells like bacteria, fungi and algae that can grow on many materials creating foul odors, discoloration, and formation of mildew and biofilm. Put your gear away wet and you know exactly what we’re talking about. The antimicrobial properties of silver, unlike harsh chemical treatments, have been known for centuries. Applying it to outdoor gear is still a great way to combat odor. SilverStrike advanced antimicrobial fabric technology prevents the formation and growth of bacteria and other odor-causing microbes, keeping garments smelling fresher—and you staying undetected—longer.

Best Jacket/Pant ever!!!!!
I purchased the jacket/pants this fall and recently used it on a hunt in South Dakota that had about every type of weather. The jacket performed perfectly. I stayed warm, dry and comfortable in temps from teens to 40's while covering a few miles each day. The jacket and pants worked so well I just purchased the jacket for my son as a gift.

Excellent Product-Highly Recommended
Very much like this suit. Just used it for Whitetail in West Virginia and PA. Very light, durable and warm. Tolerated windy conditions very well. I got size bigger than I take to allow layering but given the ability to smoothly expand for size it fit well with light Pnuma insulation as well as a heavier mid-level Pneuma layer. Didn't experience any rain yet but I am quite confident given the quality of the suit it will tolerate it well-actually looking forward to that trial.

Pnuma. The last company you'll ever need to hunt with.
When I started researching a new hunting suit to replace the 10 year old one I had, Pnuma caught my eye as one of the very few Premium brands that was reasonably priced, had a lifetime warranty and packed as much features into it as possible. I wanted to wait to review this suit until I was able to hunt a bunch of different conditions to try and test what it is good at. Right out of the gate I can saw this suit screams quality from the fabrics, seams, design and camo pattern there was a lot of thought that went into it and admire that about the system.

The fabric/ seams: Very very good at keeping you dry and is close to silent when moving around. I sat one afternoon that downpoured for a solid hour and when I took it off at the truck the inside and most importantly myself was dry. I was able to sit through the rain and saw a ton of deer when everyone else called it a day.

The camo: when I first got it I thought it looked like desert camo and was a little nervous however I've sat in the early season and through the snow and I'm amazed at how well it blends into the surroundings. Its a pretty cool looking pattern and I've been able to get really close to some animals without them noticing me.

The Design: Hands down one of the most feature rich systems on the market with a lot of thought going into how the suit articulates as you move around. It stretches in all the right places they may seem a little tight pulling over some base layers but you can always get them to button up. I feel like every time I have it on I notice a little detail that either adds to comfort or function

How it performs: I was so excited to get this in september for bow season that when October 1st rolled around I was wearing it with a t shirt and boxers on. Probably not a great idea in 70 degree weather since it keeps you toasty but hey the camo blended well in the still green trees. I would say anything above 55 degrees you're better off using a lightweight suit. In my opinion this suit shines in the 35-50 degree zone with proper base layering you can stay comfortable all day no problem.

Now comes the part where I docked it a star. I've gone out a couple times when the weather was miserable 20-32 degrees, windy, snowing which for my area is still mild as winter goes. I had on 4 different layers of base layers at once starting from light weight up to a lightweight insulation layer. When I hunt I normally sit all day and for the most part I was comfortable for the first 6 hours. However, twice i've had to call it early due to me being cold It takes alot for me to walk away from that last hour or two of hunting light. Going into this investment I was really looking for a system that could keep me at it all day with minimal extra layers and when it got nasty out I was slightly disappointed. For the price I was expecting more in the warmth department but every good design has its shares of compromises which I understand. Maybe next season I'll look into Pnuma's heated vest and different base layers. With this being my only issue I think Id chalk that up as unrealistic expectations.

After that long winded review I can say that I am very happy with this purchase and do not regret it at all it does almost everything I was looking for in a new hunting suit. Furthermore I'll be a returning customer to Pnuma due to the quality and performance at a very reasonable price compared to the other premium brands out there.

Only system you'll ever need
Great jacket! I’m 6-3, 230 so I ordered the xl tall and it fits like a glove with room to layer underneath. I hunt in Michigan all season long. So far I’ve only been able to use it the past two weeks but I love it. With the right layering you can sit all day. I like the number and placement of pockets on the jacket. It’s streamlined to be able to shoot without being bulky. I have yet to test it in the wind and snow but so far it’s amazing. I purchased the bibs as well and like this set up for stand hunting. It’ll really get the test next September in Montana for elk season which I’m looking forward to because this elk season I was wearing clothes from another manufacturer and it just doesn’t live up to what Pnuma is putting out. And you can’t beat the lifetime warranty. I will definitely be purchasing more products from Pnuma

The Best
I ordered the jacket and bibs, hands down the best. The product is quiet, waterproof, very comfortable and made extremely well. I hunt in northern Michigan and wore the set for the first time in a little 16 degree, pre-season snow, in my climber. The gear kept me warm and comfortable. Worth every penny and the quality is top notch.

Selkirk Jacket & Pant
I bought both the Jacket and the pants; being a female hunter I have issues finding warm gear that fits and is quiet. For the most part I am happy with the system as I’ve worn it to -20c in Canada to +7 and I was able to wear it in all conditions with different layers and it’s light enough and slim enough fitting that it makes hiking 8-10km relatively easy and not cumbersome while being warm enough for a long sit in a blind. Although some things that would be nice as an upgrade if they do a women’s line would be to have a roomier cut over the hip with the jacket it’s a bit snug but not uncomfortable, knee pads in the pants to add some padding when kneeling for extended periods of time and to keep dry when kneeling in snow/wet conditions and a belt or some or of attachment to be able to carry a knife.

Liner
There needs to be some sort of liner on the inside of the bibs and jacket to keep your undergarments from riding up when you are putting it on. Other than that very comfortable

SELKIRK AND PNUMA IS EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED!
Been considering Pnuma for the last year.....after "bugging" them with questions I pulled the trigger on the Selkirk complete outfit. I am thoroughly impressed with what showed up in the mail - one very fast day after ordering. This clothing is the real deal. It is well made, fits great, features are "tough" and I cannot wait to try it out in the field. The Selkirk is whisper quiet, waterproof and breathable. Drawstrings where they should be, zippers are strong, overall look awesome. I will be buying more Pnuma products.

Don’t use in rain
Bought Selkirk jacket for Alaskan moose hunt. Quality is nice but it soaks up water like a sponge. Took 3 days in tent with a wood stove to dry out. Good thing I had a backup with light rain gear. Definitely don’t use if raining.

Prehunt review
Just received the Selkirk All Weather Suit and it looks and feels like a winner. The jacket has all the zippered pockets in the right places (like the side zippers to open if you need to cool off)and the safety strap passthru along with the hood is a nice touch. I like the suspenders on the pants, and again the pockets are in the right places. Nice soft, quiet material throughout...perfect fit for me at 5"8" 190lbs (ordered large). I'm an avid bowhunter and live and hunt in Florida, but I do make a yearly trip to Maine in October where I'm sure I won't look and feel like the "Michellan man" sitting in my treestand. Will update my review after my hunt in early November.
