Next-to-skin just went next level.

This is not another tight-fitting hunting base layer that squeezes a body into submission. Compression for compression's sake serves no purpose. The new IconX hunting base layer pant hugs your body with fabric made of Hydrowick™ hollow fiber. In warm temperatures and periods of high exertion, fibers fill with sweat to push moisture outward for evaporation. When it’s cool to cold, the hollow fibers fill with air that’s heated by your body to keep you warm.  The IconX Base Layer also helps support and lift key muscles whether you’re climbing into your stand or heading up the last hundred feet of a slope that earned your respect a mile ago. The first piece of gear you put on for every hunt? The IconX base layer.

  • Athletic fit for easy layering
  • Ultimate in next-to-skin comfort
  • Six strategic performance zones of hollow HydroWick™ fiber deliver vastly superior wicking and thermal management
  • Infused with SilverStrike™ anti-microbial odor control for improved stealth and freshness in the field
  • Lightweight, comfortable Polyester/Polypropylene/Elastane blend
  • Wide, reinforced stirrups for superior fit
  • 11.4 ounces (product weight for large pant)
  • Guaranteed for life

Thirteen zones. One goal.

We’ve designed our IconX base layer shirts and pants with thirteen unique, high-performance zones – seven in the shirt and six in the pant. Zones are experience and strategically placed to support the most essential muscle groups for strength and endurance, promote improved blood circulation, and increase moisture wicking for unmatched thermal regulation—optimizing your body’s natural performance.

The soft-ribbed zone on the sternum wick away sweat in early season temperatures and during long hikes, while the zone on the back keeps you dry when even when wearing a pack.

Dedicated zones for the abdomen, back, shoulders, triceps, biceps, forearms, hips, quads, and calves ensure muscles are hugged, not compressed, so these key muscles perform as efficiently as possible and blood flow stays optimal as your heart rate increases or slows.

Thin wicking zones behind the knees, under the arms, and at the elbow-bend decrease bulk at the joints, while thicker performance zones at the knees and elbows add padding when you need it.

The result: revolutionary performance and unparalleled comfort in a hunting base layer.

The HydroWick™ difference.

HydroWick™ technology is the cornerstone of our IconX hunting base layer. Our proprietary fabric blend with HydroWick is knitted with hollow, porous, hygroscopic fibers. These hollow fibers dramatically improve moisture wicking over traditional fibers. Insulating and cooling properties are significantly increased by trapping or releasing body heat through the air spaces in the fibers. HydroWick fabric features reduced pilling, enhanced stretch, and offers a smooth fabric feel over the athletic design of IconX. It’s a world-class hunting base layer that’s in a class of its own.

True sizing means true fit.

Whether you’re looking at hunting base layers that will keep you warm, dry and comfortable all day, outer layers that protect you from wild swings in conditions while you’re in the backcountry, or anything in between, the right fit is imperative for optimal gear performance. That’s why we offer True Fit on all Pnuma hunting clothing.

In order to ensure you get the right gear sized to your needs, we give you a 30-day True Fit period. Purchase any Pnuma hunting apparel products and if they don’t fit correctly or you’re dissatisfied in any way simply send them back within 30 days. All returned items must be in new, re-sellable condition. You’ll receive a full refund.

In addition to traditional medium through XXXL, all Pnuma hunting jackets are available in Tall sizes. We’ve designed them with an additional 2” in torso length and 1.5” in the sleeves. The inseam on The Insulator pant has an additional 2” in length. No more swimming in a larger size to get the length you need.

All of our pants, with the exception of The Insulator pant and base layers, are available by waist and inseam. So, whether you’re a 32”/34”, a 40”/36”, or any other combination, you can order the size that fits you, not just the size that fits most.

And since we know that the human body, at rest or in motion, has natural bends and curves in the arms and legs, every top and bottom in every layer we offer has active-contoured elbows and knees to help improve fit and function even further. Even our gloves are designed with curved fingers to replicate the natural shape of our hands.

That means you can order your size and head to the field with confidence knowing you have exactly the right gear - in the right size - for you.

SilverStrike™ Antimicrobial Technology. Nature’s scent control.

Microbes are living cells like bacteria, fungi and algae that can grow on many materials creating foul odors, discoloration, and formation of mildew and biofilm. Put your gear away wet and you know exactly what we’re talking about. The antimicrobial properties of silver, unlike harsh chemical treatments, have been known for centuries. Applying it to outdoor gear is still a great way to combat odor. SilverStrike advanced antimicrobial fabric technology prevents the formation and growth of bacteria and other odor-causing microbes, keeping garments smelling fresher—and you staying undetected—longer.

Lacking the Warmth Needed in the Field
This product was purchased to replace my older UA 4.0 gear. After reviewing the technology, material and reviews, I purchased with the confidence these would be the best on the market. Unfortunately, I was incorrect. After field testing the IconX base layers against the UA 4.0's, I would choose the UA 4.0's for temperatures under 40 degrees. I have many products from Pnuma (Heated vest, Insulation vest, Selkirk Gloves) and they have all performed great. I was hoping the base layers would be a home run, however, this is the one product that I was disappointed with.

- Material is great and product is well constructed
- Fit of compression is great (not too compressed)
- Feel great next-to-skin or over the heated vest
- Wicking Capabilities

- Heel straps are loose. Tend to be more difficult to deal with than a benefit

- Not nearly as warm as other base layers on the market
- Pants are too long and if I choose a small size, they are too tight
- Did not keep me warm for temps below 40's in the woods

I bought this for a 5 day Elk hunt in Utah and it worked better than expected. It wasn't too tight to my skin and didn't restrict my movement. The one thing that surprised me was after a long day of sweating up and down the mountain, there was no odor. The top and bottoms did exactly what I needed them to do. The only regret is I wished I would have ordered another set.

BEST base layer I have ever had
Amazing, I have a mountain of base layers and they always seem to be to much or not enough. I live in Louisiana where the weather is usually miserably humid with the exception of about a month. Bought these and the shirt and absolutely love them, great wicking and support and just generally comfortable to wear. The only problem I have, if you would even call it that, is the looping at the bottom of legs that wrap around the arches of the feet. They are a little loose and tend to tangle up when i get my socks on. Besides that they are great, i own base layers that cost me well over twice as much that I will probably never even wear now. If there was only one thing that you ever bought from this company, or wanted a product to give them a try this would be it!

Front Fly improvement
Just received IconX pants because I ordered to large. Sent them back and received a pleasant surprise they had a front fly. Pnuma does listen to your request. IconX also fits perfectly.

Great Base Layer!
Last week was my first chance to use this system, while deer hunting in PA. I live in SC and it hasn't been cold enough to need it here; however, in PA-temps never broke 50 degrees and were in the 30's & 40's most days. I wore the Icon-X line as my primary layer(over the Heated Core Vest) and under the Pnuma Rogue Base layer. This stuff was GREAT. It was extremely comfortable, didn't pinch or bind up and provided great movement, comfort & warmth. I also REALLY liked the thumb holes & stirrups-that made layering way easier. Obviously this stuff was well thought out-by other hunters, who use it! HIGHLY recommend it!

Great but need fly for men.
I found the legs to be better without the stirrups that bunched up in my boots so I cut them off. But good insulation and comfortable fit. However my husband did not like that the pant did not have a fly!!

Great wicking ability and comfortable
wore pants and shirt this year elk hunting in Western Washington high elevation. Had a lot of snow this year and rain down low. Extremely pleased with both pants and shirt. I did not care for the stirrups in the pants, so cut them out. Not a problem at all, just did not feel right in my boots. We put in a lot of miles and wrinkle in boot bottom does not work for me. This product is great wicking moisture away and when outer items were wet, I still felt dry next to my skin. I sweat a lot when hiking and this seemed to wick sweat away very well. I will only be wearing these in the future. If wondering how they work, just buy it and you will be happy. they also have great stretch, which makes moving seem easier.

Love the stirups
Great fabric and very warm, form fitting. I really like the the stirrups for putting into boots. legs are a bit too long but it is so stretchy it is not a problem. Do not care for the superstrong elastic waist, hard to pull down for the "call of nature" b

Leg material to long!
Great quality and comfort. Legs on medium size to long. Making stirrups snug on foot, and adjusting knee portion of pants, meant pulling legs up and rolling up excess material at waist.

very pleased
I wore the base layer for the first time recently on a mule deer hunt. Very comfortable and performed well. I agree a front fly would be an improvement.

Fits true to size / Well constructed
I ordered the XL top and XL bottom. I am 6'5" 220lb and they fit very well. Not having a fly doesn't bother me. I have a "fly" on all pairs of my underwear and never do I take the time to weave myself through the two little flaps to go #1. The stirrups on the pants are wide and thin and help keep the bottoms in place. The thumb holes on the top help me get into the shirt and help when layering. I don't notice the thumb holes or stirrups and they do not bother me. If I have one critque it would be that the material isn't as soft as merino but definitely seems/feels well constructed. I plan on having this base layer for many years to come. I have been reading reviews on Pnuma gear for about a yr before finally purchasing some. The fit is very important to me as it is difficult to find clothes & shoes that fit well. I have the iconX base layer. Selkirk Endurance Suit and Insulator Vest. So far, very pleased.

The Best
The Best! Second to none. I borrowed some for a high country elk hunt and now I own 3 sets of my own. I havent but you might simply give all your other base layers away.

Great baselayer.
This is hands down the best base layer I've ever used for tree stand hunting. I use merinos as well but they don't perform as well in a tree stand where you sit still for hrs. Would still prefer merinos for any style of hunting where you move a lot but this is the way to go for tree stand sits.

Pnuma review
Hands down the best base layer I've ever put to the test. Pnuma hit it out of the park with this product. Awesome quality and comfort. Simply unmatched by any other brand. I am an avid deer and Turkey hunter and let me ease any concerns or fears you may have. These are the best base layers on the market to date! They are a little expensive but are backed by a life time guarantee. Eveveryting I was looking for an more from my base layers. Thank you pnuma!

Need Front Fly
I wore them during archery season and the only problem that I had with them is they need a front fly so it's easier to pee in the field. I'd buy more once they put in the front fly.
